The Easton Meditation Group was formed in October 2003 for those who have a regular mindfulness meditation practice as well as for beginners who would like to develop a practice.
It is our intent to support one another as we explore the practice of meditation in our daily lives. The journey along the path of awakening, compassion, and wisdom may be substantially enriched with the support of others who share the practice of meditation.
We meet on the first and third Wednesdays from 7 pm – 8 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 7401 Ocean Gateway (Route 50) in Easton, Maryland.
Chairs are provided, and you are welcome to bring cushions or pillows for sitting on the floor.
1st Wednesday of the Month, 7 pm – 8 pm: Dharma talk on an aspect of Mindfulness Meditation followed by a period of meditation
3rd Wednesday of the Month, 7 pm – 8 pm: Two periods of meditation (guided for newcomers), with time for discussion, sharing, and questions about mindfulness meditation
We welcome anyone who is interested in meditation or Buddhism to join us. There is no need to identify yourself as a Buddhist of any kind.
